The In Between describes a space that exists between 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional.
I found common points in fabric and pixel. The former is the carrier of physical
information, or memories, the latter is the carrier of virtual ones. I extracted the
colored pixels that make up the image from the 2d plane and used fabric (hard) to
make them into the numerous 3d cubes that represent pixels in physical space.
Audience will find parts of themselves being projected onto the surfaces of these
3d pixels or on the “fake 3d pixels” whihc is just squares projected on the wall when
looking at the installation. At this point, the 2d pixels of the digital image become
blocks of 3d pixels existing in the physical world, while viewers existing in the 3d
physical world turn into 2d pixels units projected on the plane.
